Our piggery unit is located in the rural outskirts of Lilongwe District, where we rear indigenous and exotic breeds such as Large White and Landrace. We started with just 6 piglets in 2022 and have since expanded to over 100 pigs across various stages (weaners, growers, and finishers).
Key Highlights:
Constructed 3 modern pig houses using local bricks and concrete floors with drainage systems.
Maintain weekly weight tracking and deworming schedules.
Partnered with local maize millers to create cost-effective pig feed blends.
Supplied pork-ready pigs to butcheries in Area 25, Kanengo, and Kasungu.
Community Impact:
We’ve trained over 20 youths from Khongoni and Malingunde in pig husbandry and biosecurity.
